In Their Own Words
Hear What Jerry Hall Said About Their Experience
-
Q1: What made you start thinking about selling?Several other Atlanta companies were rolling up into private equity starting around 2016. A couple years before I sold, I started getting my ducks in a row. I wanted to do something different in life.
-
Q2: Why did you choose Southern? It was my trust in the Southern deal team at first. In the end though, it was my trust in the CEO and the operations team that got the deal done. Being backed by a quality private equity sponsor helped as well.
-
Q3: How smooth was the transition?A nine. There were no issues. The day the paperwork was signed, the deal was done and I was free to pursue my other goals in life.
-
Q4: What were your biggest fears?I really didn’t have any fears going in. I saw what was going on and understood that I would likely sell to one of these groups. I had all my ducks in a row so I was going into it without a lot of baggage.
-
Q5: What surprised you most? How professional this process was from start to finish. It was top notch. I learned so much about how a company at this level operates through the diligence process that Southern deploys.
-
Q6: Would you recommend Southern?Absolutely. Southern is the real deal. When you deal with professionals, they have a business model and you fit into that business model with the information you give them.
