In Their Own Words
Hear What Joseph Strazza Said About Their Experience
-
Q1: What made you start thinking about selling?I'd always thought about it but never actively looked. A trusted contact who had joined Fox Service Company under Southern told me, 'a talk doesn't hurt.' That's what got me to sit down.
-
Q2: Why did you choose Southern?Other PE firms threw out numbers without knowing my business. Southern had just done the Fox deal in Austin and I knew the people over there. They told me what to expect and that was a big comfort zone thing for me day one.
-
Q3: How smooth was the transition? An eight or nine. It was hectic the first couple of days, just like anything. But that's just how it goes. After that, It was 'here's what's going to happen, here's the process,' and everything moved very smoothly.
-
Q4: What were your biggest fears? That my clients and employees would be taken care of the way I had cared for them. Once I saw who was going to be running it, those fears faded quickly.
-
Q5: What surprised you most?Nothing ever surprised me. It was laid out pretty clearly that here's what's going to happen, here's the process. Everything moved very smoothly after that. There was never a lack of communication.
-
Q6: Would you recommend Southern? One hundred percent. I just told another business owner over the weekend that I already know the best company to partner with. Southern is a phenomenal team with great transparency and they are excellent to work with.
